Trades Universal undertakes to protect all personal data we receive from you. Our Privacy and Security Statement explains how and why we collect personal information about you and how that information is managed and used ("Privacy and Security Statement"). This privacy and security statement applies to all organisations within the Trades Universal Group ("Trades Universal").

Data we collect about you

We also collect data about you through your use of this website, our iOS or Android application (apps) and our platform. This data may include the areas of the website visited, the pages visited, the frequency and duration of visits.

Trades Universal collects your personal information to provide you with our products and services, to set up and manage your account, and to comply with legal requirements. By collecting your data, CMC Markets is able to monitor and improve the services we provide to our existing and potential customers.

Trades Universal may use your personal information for one or more of the following purposes:

to perform security measures, such as verifying your identity using your IP address when you sign in to your account;

to operate and manage the products and services provided to you;

to inform you about the products and services offered by Trades Universal;

to provide you with additional services, such as a community forum;

to provide an understanding of Trades Universal products and services that may be of interest to you;

to provide you with information or opportunities that we believe may be relevant to you;

to tailor the website, iOS and Android applications (apps) or other services we provide to your needs and interests; and

to collect anonymised statistical data. We may transfer anonymised data to other companies, but this data does not contain any information that you personally identify.

We may also use your personal information for market research, analysis, and the development of statistics within the Trades Universal Group to develop an understanding of the products and services you may wish to purchase from the Trades Universal Group and to market these products and services to you.

If Trades Universal or an Anti-Fraud Office finds that you are at risk of fraud, money laundering or other financial crimes, we may refuse or cease to provide our services to you

to verify your identity, if you sign in to your account online or contact us

You can do this by changing your marketing preferences and privacy settings when you sign in to your account, or by using the unsubscribe link in the email we send you, or by contacting Customer Service to refuse to receive marketing communications.

Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and related disclosure requirements;

For activities related to the prevention, detection and investigation of criminal offences;

If you ask us to disclose your personal data to other persons or organisations, e.g. a company processing a claim on your behalf, or otherwise agree to the disclosure;

to comply with our legal obligations and enable us to identify you for authentication, reporting, compliance or customer service purposes;

to conduct marketing in cases where we have requested your consent; and

to provide you with our community forum, if necessary.

You are free to change your mind and withdraw your consent at any time.

To whom we may disclose your data

Trades Universal may disclose your personal information to:

the Trades Universal group of companies to develop an understanding of the products and services you may wish to purchase from the Trades Universal group of companies and for other legitimate business purposes;

the Financial Conduct Authority and other regulatory and governmental bodies in the UK and other countries;

any court;

financial institutions and similar organisations with which we cooperate or are designated by you as part of our corporate activities;

anti-fraud and law enforcement authorities where false or inaccurate information is provided and an attempt to fraud is detected;

any other person, if we have your consent or if we have another legal basis for such disclosure;

If you came to Trades Universal through an intermediary, the facilitator.

external service providers and qualified consultants (including overseas) providing services to Trades Universal, including credit agencies;

upon your request, any organisation or person acting on your behalf, including your financial adviser, broker, lawyer or accountant;

any third party (e.g. software vendor), if necessary for the execution of a transaction or for the provision of services you have requested; or

any authority to which Trades Universal is legally obliged to disclose such data;.

other financial institutions to prevent and detect financial crime, including fraud, money laundering and terrorist financing; or

other parties associated with your account (e.g. other persons mentioned in the application).

Please note that Trades Universal does not sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Trades Universal also requires that external organisations outside of Trades Universal that handle or receive personal data recognise the confidentiality of such data and undertake to respect each person's right to data protection and to comply with all relevant data protection laws and this privacy and security statement.

What rights you have

Your rights with respect to the personal data we have stored about you are as follows:

The right to be informed about the processing of your personal data;

The right to rectify your personal data if it is incorrect and to supplement incomplete personal data;

As with Trades Universal, you should be aware of the security of your personal information. If you feel that someone has become aware of your login details, please contact us so that we can support you and protect you and your data. We also recommend that you back up your devices with a password or password. If you are using our mobile app, we recommend that you enable the use of Touch ID or Face ID.

How long we keep your data

We will remove all personal data that you identify, or we will safely destroy the records if we believe that this personal data is no longer needed. This could be a period of 7 years after the termination of our business relationship with you.
